Our Sound Journey
Since the early 1980's, Jeff dreamed of being on the radio. In 1986, he was the afternoon DJ on WLGC (LaGuardia Community College radio) while attending college there. After college, the NY Market was closed to him because he didn't have the experience needed in such a large market. Even his favorite station, WBLS, turned him away. Then, Internet radio hit and Jeff found a home. From stints with notables like Leaf Pile Radio, to Long Island Jamz, Jeff has come into his own with Strange Soundz Radio!
A 30+ year journey! This journey would have not been possible without two notable people who believed in Jeff in his entire journey. His grandmother, Ruth Douglas (RIP) whose love and strength made him into the man he is today, and his best friend Harvey Perry aka DJ Icee, aka ICW, The Imperial Cut Wizard! (RIP)
Harv and Jeff were inseparable throughout life and discovered their mutual love of music together as kids.
These two angels still shine on Jeff everyday and you can still hear one of Icee's mixtapes still play exclusively on Strange Soundz Radio!
